Legitimate question. Let’s say I sign a 300 mil contract for 10 years. After year one, I decide I’m done with baseball. I then just… quit playing, and if they say I’m contractually obliged, then I play so bad that they bench me for someone else. Could they sue me for breach of contract? Is there a “must actually play baseball” clause? Obviously there’s no way to prove that I’m playing bad on purpose…
