I knew his production was slowing down, but I didn’t realize how bad. But in the month of July he had 9 hits in 59 ABs for a .153 average. This is coming off a very mid June. Much like Wallach did, Thaiss is unfortunately regressing to his mean.
With Wallach being a better defender with a stronger arm, the amount of lefties in the lineup, and the hints of his bat waking up, I wonder if Chad might get more playing time if Thaiss continues to struggle.
