On July 14, 2015, Mike Trout led the American League to a 6-3 victory over the National League in the All-Star Game by opening the scoring with a home run off Zack Greinke before later scoring the go-ahead run.

Trout became the first player in MLB history to win back-to-back All-Star Game MVP awards and just the fifth to win the honor twice.
