From my 40 years of watching and playing sports, I have a theory. The teams that win a lot and make great runs, their best player is also their leader. Sports marketing always put the best player out front as the leader because that sells. But in actuality, the worst man on a team can be a leader of men. The magic happens when the guy everyone follows is also the best player. Mike Trout and Shohei aren’t the leaders of this team. Anthony Rendon is. Pay for him to go away and the team will almost instantly change.
