I took my family to the game in Seattle last night. We were in left field, about six or so rows from the field. I decided to bring my three year old down to the wall in between innings when Ward was warming up.
My son was yelling his name and I yelled it once. He looked over, saw my son, and ran over and handed him the ball.
I said, “Thanks man. That’s awesome.” He said, “No problem, dude!” The next inning, he hit a homer.
While we didn’t win a single game in that series, it was a moment I’ll never forget.
My son got a ball from one of my favorite players. Unreal.
