This feels weird to have hope and optimism right?

As a 34 year old life long Angels fan from Reno, NV (I have family members who live in Anaheim and used to visit them every June after school got out and we would go to Disneyland and catch an Angels game)…it feels different this year. As in, this team has a chance to be above average.

Looking at the schedule, the Angels are on the road in 20 of their first 29 games. I saw the schedule for the month of April and thought, “huh, that’s a hell of a lot of road games to start the season”

But then I saw their schedule in May, and 26 of their 28 games are in California (a record by the way for most games played in one state in a calendar month all time)

And that’s when it hit me. This team might actually have a chance to get off to a a hot start.

Sure May is brutal with games against the Orioles, Yankees, and Padres. But they’re all home games. And with Astros seemingly below average for the first time in a decade, combined with the American League potentially being below average (the Central Division might be awful)…maybe, just maybe this team can make the playoffs.

Call me crazy but guys, we are so f*cking back (I’ll regret this post in June, til then, let’s drink the Coolade because damn does it taste good)
