I became an Angels fan in 4th grade (around 2000) and had a choice between them and the Dodgers. I chose the Angels for the most deep and well thought out reasoning ever – because my best friend liked them. Oh and the Dodgers always came after Kids WB, which meant the end of Saturday cartoons, so I kinda irrationally hated them.

Is it wrong to have forced myself to commit to decades of abuse just because of a stupid decision I made in 4th grade? It didn’t help that I doubled and tripled down on my fandom over the years by buying jerseys, going to games, and collecting bobble heads. Literally this is some 9 year old kids fault.
