Royals going from 56 wins to 86 wins should give the Angels hope for turnaround next year after only winning 63 games this year. But I think the Angels should follow the pitching formula that Tigers used in the playoffs. Use bullpen combinations to keep opposing hitters off guard and go one inning at a time to win games. Angels don’t have a Skubal type pitcher and have really struggled to assemble a solid 1-5 starting pitching staff the last few seasons. So next year, don’t. Get as many relievers as possible and use relievers every game to get to future superstar closer Ben Joyce. Using Anderson, Canning and Detmers for shorter outing might help keep them healthier and more effective. The Rays started the Opener trend in 2018 and I think Angels should go hard on this strategy next year. What do rest of y’all Angels in the outfield think?
