Firstly, I hope everyone is ok in that heat over there, seems pretty full on.
Anyway, we’ve got a family trip to Disney in a couple of weeks and the first night we arrive we’re looking for something fun to check out while we battle jet lag.
For a family that’s completely unfamiliar with baseball, would it still be a fun atmosphere to just be there and experience the energy and (presumably overpriced) food? Or would it just be confusing without any rule knowledge or context for the season/teams?
Looking online I see the season is nearly over and Angels aren’t exactly in the running (soz). Will the atmosphere still be fun or will it be just a bunch of depressed diehards?
We’re staying pretty close to Disney and it seems like the stadium is a pretty short Uber ride, so if the kids get too tired or the game isn’t for us, is it bad form to leave in the middle of a game?
Tickets: Will we need to book in advance or can we just book that day (or rock up on the night since it’s late season?)
And where’s a good place to sit without breaking the bank or sitting in the nosebleeds? I expect the family will be less interested in the game itself and more just taking in the event so something that gives them the most entertaining view would be great.
Thanks for any advice and … Go Halos?…
