The Dynasty that never was…
The Dynasty that never was…

In 2011 the Angels signed the top hitter and pitcher on the FA market (Pujols & Wilson). A year later they sign the top hitter again (Hamilton). Not to mention at the same time they have possibly the greatest player of all time im their system (Trout). Pujols, Hamilton, and Trout 3 MVPs and Weaver, and Wilson as a tough 1/2 punch I really feel like this could or perhaps should have led to a dynasty with all of that talent. Not to mention players like Richards, Calhoun, and Skaggs that had serious potential back then. That combined with the additions of Upton, Rendon, and Ohtani and the Angels have had possibly the most talent pass through their Org in the last 10 years, more than any other MLB team… and nothing to show for it. I know we all hate on Arte, but coming off a pretty dominant ‘03-‘09 stretch I actually think he set the team up well for the next decade, just didn’t work out sadly.

“TL;DR”: Pujols, Hamilton, Trout, Weaver, Wilson, Richards, Calhoun, Skaggs, Ohtani, Upton, Rendon – Should have won a WS with all that talent!
