So I had a realization the other day of Ohtani’s career. He came to the MLB with the chance to join any team he wanted but he chose to join the best player in baseball because it would make it easier to win a championship. Now he leaves us and joins another team set up to win a championship. Does that mean he came to the MLB and wanted to win but wants it to be easy? Does that make him that good of a player? I know he’s a great player but he seems to be showing (no pun intended) that he will only be able to win in an environment that makes it easy to win. Could he go to let’s say the A’s and win? Could he go to the Yankees and win? Will he win with the dodgers? I would like to hear others opinions on the matter.
