I’m mostly a football (soccer) fan but I really enjoyed going to a few Angels games last year. I’m interested in tuning in this season but I’m kind of confused about how baseball works.

I’m looking at the schedule and through April there’s spring training games almost every day. I’m assuming these are just for fans to enjoy and have no bearing on standings, right? Do people actually watch every game? Is it televised?

When does the regular season start, and how often are games?

How are the Angels regarded in MLB as a whole? What’s the culture like?

Any rivals? Is there beef with the Dodgers or vice versa?
