  • 11:35 AM – GM Perry Minasian said that even though the Angels did not win enough games, Phil Nevin is not to blame. Blame falls on many, not one. (@Sarah_IsabelVee)

  • 11:36 AM – Perry Minasian said they haven’t made any decisions on the rest of the coaching staff or other members of front office/player development. He said he’ll do an autopsy and take the rest of the week to consider these things. (@SamBlum3)

  • 11:39 AM – There isn’t necessarily a timeline on when Minasian wants to have the manager position filled and no specific type of manager they are looking for just yet. (@Sarah_IsabelVee)

  • 11:40 AM – There is no decision made yet on the rest of the coaching staff or front office staff, but Minasian will review the season and all of what happened. (@Sarah_IsabelVee)

  • 11:47 AM – Perry Minasian said he had a one-on-one sit-down session with Shohei Ohtani during the last weekend of the season: “I believe this is a place he enjoys playing and a place he loves.” (@TaylorBlakeWard)

  • 11:53 AM – “… We’ll just have to see what happens over the course of the offseason.” Minasian also said it’s safe to say they will make Ohtani a qualifying offer, but they have not honed in on what all they will do this offseason. (@Sarah_IsabelVee)

  • 12:08 PM – Perry Minasian said that no one else in the organization has been let go yet. But wouldn’t guarantee anyone’s job, either. “With losing, there’s changes made. That’s part of it.” (@SamBlum3)

  • 12:09 PM – Highlights from Minasian call_____-Not Nevin’s fault, but changes happen when you lose_____-Too soon to know about next mgr_____-Will try to win again, not rebuild_____-Injuries will be evaluated_____-Bachman had a shoulder cleanup, should be OK in spring_____-CRod having back issues. Story to come (@JeffFletcherOCR)

  • 12:11 PM – As for payroll, Perry Minasian couldn’t say whether or not owner Arte Moreno will be willing to match his record payroll again next season. Only said that Moreno’s motivated to win. Minasian also said he wasn’t sure whether or not they’ll get below the luxury tax this year. (@SamBlum3)

  • 12:11 PM – Perry Minasian called yesterday a tough day. Said Phil Nevin isn’t to blame but changes had to be made because they didn’t win enough. They are currently analyzing the rest of the staff/front office. He said it’s too soon to know what exactly what he’s looking for in a manager. (@RhettBollinger)

  • 12:14 PM – Minasian said ownership’s goal is to win and he doesn’t see that changing. So it doesn’t sound like the Angels are in for a rebuild. They’ll continue to try to compete next year. (@RhettBollinger)

  • 12:15 PM – Is Perry Minasian concerned about attracting a good manager here, given the managerial turnover and Minasian’s expiring contract? “I think this is a very attractive job. I think it’s a job that people would love and relish the opportunity to have.” (@SamBlum3)

  • 12:17 PM – “We didn’t win enough games. In sports when you have certain expectations and you don’t meet those expectations there are changes. By no means does that mean Phil is to blame. He’s not. It’s all of us. Me first and foremost. I’ve got to do a better job putting the club together.” (@JeffFletcherOCR)
