Arte has managed to attract “fans” who don’t follow the team and are willing to come to the Big A for general entertainment sake.

To them, going to an Angels game is just another alternative to going to Disneyland or Knott’s or the beach. It literally doesn’t matter if they lose 25-0 over and over again. These same people pay so little attention to baseball that they don’t understand how significant of a player Shohei Ohtani is and will fill the seats once again in 2024 when Shohei is long gone.

The last few times I’ve been to an Angels game, I’ve been seated near people who fit this mold to a tee. One guy asked his friend where Vlad was on the field. Another spoke of the World Series championship apparently unaware that it happened 21 years ago. These people have no clue!

If you’re Arte and these types of people are willing to sustain your cash cow while you FAIL over and over, why would you ever sell the team?

I know I never would.
