Time has proven he gets better as the season goes on. His near no hitter was in July. His CGSO was in August.

2022 pre All-Star Break he had a 3.22 ERA. Post All-Star Break it dropped to 2.53.

2023 pre All-Star Break was 4.41 ERA.
Post All-Star Break is 1.88 ERA.

Also the fact that he is staying healthy is good for us when so many guys are out.
