I got dogged by the doomers last time I tried to be optimistic, perhaps now after winning a series they will be more measured.

Look, I get it, we aren’t in a great spot. We had 4 winnable games against the Mariners and fucking blew it! And game 1 vs the Giants (thanks Estevez). But the team bounced back and won the series. They haven’t given up yet. And that means we shouldn’t either.

This team has the talent to do it. They’ve just been underperforming and been inconsistent. And of course injuries. But we have Drury back and he’s been raking! Trout and O’Hoppe should be back soon.

Until we are mathematically eliminated, there’s no reason to give up! 2% ain’t great odds but so what? If we’re gonna go down let’s go down swinging! I’m tired of seeing all these negativity and pessimism about the season. If you’ve given up, don’t want to watch anymore, I get it. That’s fine. But I’m tired of some of ya’ll spreading around your doomer takes. Because its not over until its over. And there have been many teams that were way behind and went on a late season tear to clinch a playoff spot. Its been done and we can do it again.

So why stop cheering on the team? The season isn’t over. We got the two best players in baseball and solid pieces around em. We got this. Let’s go Halos!
