You have to appreciate Arte in this moment. As a die hard, no one dislikes him as much as I do. However, I appreciate that he spends the money and tries to make us competitive even though he’s usually incredibly misguided. He’s finally fed up like us and now he’s spending on pitching and going over the luxury tax.
I have faith that he’s seen the light a little bit and has let Perry take the reins as far as roster construction. I believe Perry is a great GM and knows how to build a roster, he’s super aggressive and knows importance of building for the future.
You can still hate Arte and you should. But he makes relevant unlike teams like the pirates which I’m actually very thankful for.
