It’s a hard pill to swallow that this might be the last month we see Ohtani in an Angel’s uniform. Since we expect a trade to be a lower in value due to Ohtani’s free agency approaching, would you rather (I know it’s a stretch but a big market team can eat 75% of the contract as I think about Cano being attached to Diaz in the Mets deal a few years ago) more financial freedom or try to hit on a controllable prospect or two?
At the end of the day, we all want the Angels to succeed and we were all fans before Trout & Ohtani and we’ll still be here after. I just want to do whatever will make this team more competitive in the future. Go Halos!
