According to Rosenthal and other national tv reporters, the reason it is unlikely Shohei gets traded at this moment (barring an IMPLOSION) is that he does not want to be the owner that trades Shohei. What difference does that make given he’s the owner that’s ruined the careers of Mike and Shohei as well as the owner that is most likely unable to retain him in Free Agency?
On another note, will Arte reconsider selling the team if Shohei leaves? Good chance he won’t get bids of $3B, unlike last year.
